You know...I have began to question whether in fact this is Roland Bishop, as always assumed by family members, or in fact his brother Guy? My Uncle Gordon Oakley once told me that Guy was actually a better cyclist than Roland, but didn't put in a great deal of training for events. Guy's death certificate also states that he spent two years of his life in Tasmania, where this photo was taken.
The brothers were very much alike in looks, and I've always thought that the cyclist in this photo has a longer face than the earlier photos of Roland.
Any guesses??? Input very welcome!
